unsurprisingly, seeing this in 70mm bumped it up to a five star. it’s just too epic not to. i think the invite is still my *favorite *of the year, but this is undeniably the *best* movie of the year. strangely, it actually made me want to rewatch oppenheimer. there seems to be a pretty giant parallel in the stories of odysseus and oppenheimer: the internal struggle of a man who believes his actions and choices alone forever changed the world for the worse. not sure i’m up for another three hour movie today, but i’ll get around to it soon.

when your circle small but yall crazy!!! this shit is so aggressively my type of movie. i was so uncomfortable the whole time in the best and most satisfying way. every performance was nothing short of perfect. idc what anyone says, i love seth rogen and this movie really shows off not only his brilliant comedic skills but also his really really really great dramatic chops as well. i think i've already found my new favorite of the year mere days after seeing the odyssey (although i’m seeing that in 70mm imax in the morning so it could potentially change back after that experience). i wonder how many couples saw this together and split shortly after.

little clunky toward the beginning but boy oh boy does it get over it quickly… this was absolutely fantastic, truly the definition of the term epic. it is absolutely as amazing as everyone has said it is. i cannot even wrap my brain around how you would even begin to make a movie like this but christopher nolan again proves how genius he is, not only as a director, but as a screenwriter as well. i am so so so so excited to see this again in 70mm imax (!!!!) and be deafened by that beautiful ludwig score

truly a generational movie. this is the type of stuff i get excited thinking about showing my kids one day
