Almost all the humor landed for me. I was laughing the whole time. I will say that the ending didn’t fully work in my opinion. I liked the ending on its own, but I just felt like it didn’t entirely fit tonally with the rest of the film. This could definitely go up on rewatch but this is where I stand for now.

My first watch since I saw it in theaters and wow wow wow. The atmosphere created in this movie is undeniable and Cillian Murphy gives one of the best performances I’ve ever seen. I really don’t know what’s keeping me from saying this is Nolan’s best but realistically there are 4 films that rotate as my favorite of his (including this). I have officially completed the Nolan rewatch and I am not beating the Nolan fanboy allegations. I’m now ready for a journey of some sort.
