i am God's larping man - Vinz, probably oh my days rewatch was 1000000% needed this is absolute cinema, possibly the greatest ending ive ever watched. this movie was so good that it just wouldnt let me fall asleep, like it would shake me awake the second i started drifting. on a rewatch, the standout feature for me, aside from the cinematography obviously, was the dialogue. after watching a lot of aeon flux and not being spoon fed information any more (cough cough, the boys), its so refreshing for the director to not treat you like a fucking baby. i feel like the chaos of the dialogue here was able to achieve something that paul thomas anderson was unable to do, which is properly immerse you inside of the world the director is trying to create. maybe i am being a bit harsh tho, pta did do that to some extent but it kept falling apart because of the actors for me, i couldn't believe that it was the 70s with mark wahlberg's ugly mug all over the screen. but wow i will be rewatching this many times for many years to come

ngl... who asked coco to sing.... ts was so ahhh rlly enjoyed the cinematography tho, getting the feeling that iwai is an auter. umm yeah i saw someone say if their life was a movie theyd want iwai to shoot the day and wong kar wai to shoot the night theyre lowk spitting. yea but also theres defo a lot of meaning behind the film that im too much of a chud to figure out first time but icl i dont rlly wanna rewatch it like i enjoyed it dont get me wrong but ehhh idk man. also sorry passing thought shunji iwai is who gaspar noe wishes he was. yea ok bye the plot was cool i fw satoru (#notthegooningtho) and coco was alrrrrr but her fits made her cool and tsumuji.. hes just tsumuji hes got a lot going on. wait i completely forgot about the teacher yo that was sooo cool ima give it a half star for that and also the visuals at the end ok and also the classical music holding the whole thing together. acc wait i do have more to say yea cl ts did get kinda horrifying but like in a good way ooh man maybe i did rlly enjoy this
