I think this film fully locked in Sci-Fi as my favourite movie genre. I love the element of loneliness in space and then you just pair it with beautiful space shots it is a really great duo. But as for the Martian I thought it was superb. The dry humour was exactly what you needed and very well delivered by Matt Damon. I thought the story was somewhat generic on an overall level but there are so many small plot points that you would never expect. The rest of the cast was superb and I loved the range of mid level celebrities because it is people that you recognise from other things but aren’t exactly blockbuster names. But one side note is I really thought that there should have been a montage of when all the astronauts reunited on the space ship and the time they spent together on their way back home.

I still have no idea how that dog survived on a pile of shit just to wag his tail at Odysseus and die.

This was one of the first full horror films that I watched. I know that as far as horror goes this film wasn’t that scary but I replay enjoyed. Don’t get me wrong I was shitting it. I thought it was really interesting concept and such a unique film. I thought that did make it a little bit different but it was very decent.

I really enjoyed this film and I genuinely can’t comprehend how good of an actor Al Pacino is. That scene where he is drunk in the restaurant is genuinely perfect and the way he acts so drunk without overdoing it is so good.
