About Time
"We're all traveling through time together, every day of our lives. All we can do is do our best to relish this remarkable ride."
I rarely and almost never cry during a movie but the last 10 minutes of this movie sent me absolutely sobbing. Richard Curtis you son of a gun, you created one of the greatest romances of the 21st century.
Domnhall Gleeson embodies the 21 year old time traveller, he goes through so much crazy obstacles and at the core of that is an amazing performance from Domnhall Gleeson. Rachel McAdams is so fuvking beautiful man, she is a goddess, worth time travelling back and forth for. Bill Nighy crushes his role and crushed you as well, he made me cry man. Everyone else was perfectly casted as well from Kit Kay to Margot Robbie's character Charlotte.
The story is very simple until it gets complex with Tim's time antics and trying to always get what he wants, it was very fun at the beginning, awkward, embarrassing, and very very funny but at the end the time travelling was used as such a final emotional punch in your face. The movie doesn't really explain more about the time traveling which is really good as well, giving it time to build on the relationship between Tim and Mary which is very beautiful.
But at the end it teaches so much very valuable lessons that aren't only for time travellers but works for us. It tells us to appreciate every thing that comes to us and enjoy every little detail that life and our loved ones bring us. The movie is very very beautiful in every area. Wether with Mary or with Tim's dad or his sister, Richard Curtis crafts such a masterful romance for the ages. Overall, I'm surprised chaos hasn't just ensued with generations of time travellers.
