"I must go punch that baby." Holy shit was I wrong about this movie, I was already excited about Kinds of kindness but after this I'm fully locked in. This actually just might be my favorite best picture nominee because this is crazy. Would I wanted this to win against Oppenheimer? Maybe not but did I enjoy this more? Fuck yes! Possibly the most best part about this movie is the one and only EMMA STONE!! She might be now my favorite actress, need to see her in La La Land though. She deserved that Oscar 1000% She completely transforms into a character unlike anything we've ever seen before. Lily Gladstone was amazing but this is just something else and I'm a large Gladstone supporter. Emma Stone quite possibly gives her best performance ever from what I've seen though such as Birdman, The Favourite and even Zombieland. Her comedic timing, line deliveries, facial expressions, body movements are everything you would want in this crazy Bella Baxter. Willem Dafoe was snubbed of a nomination, let's hope he gives an even better performance in Kinds of kindness to get nominated but he's amazing in this one and even gives a cool callback line. "I'm something of a romantic myself." Mark Ruffalo absolutely did deserve that nomination because he did spectacular in here, he shows that a man can really mess shit up to get a girl. Ramy Youssef is incredible as well here and do I dare to say he was also snubbed? It's crazy though how everyone, yes every single person gives one of the greatest performances you've ever seen and you just gotta say they were all snubbed. Another performance that didn't get recognition is Margaret Qualley who is absolutely blowing up these days and she will be getting an Oscar sooner or later. This movie really did deserve all the awards it won during the Oscars, the production design in this thing is crazy, it's like the favourite's production design but just 10000% more. The costumes, make up and hairstyling were also very deserving. Emma Stone looks so fuvking beautiful this whole movie and her costumes are beautiful, BEAUTIFUL! But something else that elevated this movie is the sound which is so soo sooo good, it elevates each and every scene but I've heard a lot of good things about Zone of interest's sound design so maybe it was even better. To say the story is crazy is an understatement because this is fuvking insane to the power of 100! The story of Bells Baxter will be remembered for centuries in the future and will be known as Yorgos' most insane work ever. From the beginning to end you don't stop following Bella on all these crazy adventures where she explores more about the world and about herself more so about her body though. And this movie is so unexpectedly funny, I should've known this after the favourite but I didn't and man this is a comedy movie. Overall, I hope everytime Emma Stone dances on screen she gets an Oscar for it.
