ScreamBrandon9.7· April 18, 2024Follow"What's your favorite scary movie?" Although I watched this after Scary Movie this still is very intense and unpredictable and I guess it's more shocking since I thought it was Dewey because of the Doofus from Scary Movie but man is it not. From the very first scene this movie just hits as one of those iconic horror movies from the 1900's even though it was released in the 90's unlike Michael Myers, Freddie Krueger, Jason Voorhees, the Alien but it's as iconic or even more iconic than the others. Ghostface no matter how clumsy he may be is terrifying especially since you don't know who's behind the mask and you just keep guessing and guessing and when you think it's that guy, for me it was Dewey, I completely locked in my answer but then he almost died. One of the most iconic final girls in horror has to be Neve Campbell as Sidney Prescott and maybe.. Courtney Cox as Gale Weathers. They are Iconic with the capital I. Another iconic character has to be Stu Macher, Matthew Lillard gives it his all for Stu Macher and it pays off so well. He must be one of the most memorable and iconic ghostfaces, sure I haven't seen the rest but I can just feel it. David Arquette has to be another of my most favorite characters, he's very charming and the movie keeps on making him look like ghostface which I should've have seen it coming. Rose McGowan and Skeet Ulrich are amazing as well though probably not as iconic and memorable as the others they still are pretty good. And of course the very first victim of the movie played by Drew Barrymore is very very iconic and fantastic in the few minutes she gets in the iconic intro. The movie isn't too long but it makes your head go "maybe it's him, no it has to be that one. WHAT THE HELL IT'S ACTUALLY THAT ONE??!!" The kills are also very brutal especially the first two victims, my jaw is still down there and my stomach doesn't really feel good. I guess it's still a mystery of who actually killed who and maybe there was a third ghostface that we didn't know about but I just hope there's something like this in the sequels and I'ma hope the sequels aren't as shitty as other franchises. Overall, Stu Macher walked so that Shaggy could run.CommentsSign in to react and join the conversation.Sign inGet the app
