Rounders

After my recent interest in playing poker with friends, I decided to get my Dad into poker aswell. He enjoyed it and saw the fun I was having and recommended this movie to me. I gave it a shot and I’d say it was pretty good. It was a very cool way to see how the mind of a smart poker player works. I’ve been trying to find ways to understand and get better at poker, and while this might not teach a ton, it is somewhat helpful and interesting. Overall I like the story of this movie and how poker is very much a risk reward game. In terms of this movie the risk is getting beat up and hurt because you owe people, or the reward is a fat wad of cash in your pocket. I think this movie was very fun to watch, but it definitely isn’t the greatest movie in my movie standards. I’m just so much of an action movie guy that these types of movies just don’t hit me as hard as others would. For me 7/10, but for others I can see a 8/10
