Se7en

This movie has been on my list for quite a while, but I never looked at it with much eagerness to watch it. It was about time I thought about it and decided it was time. This movie was pretty good. I love the creativity of it all and how the kills are all connected so well. It’s hard to look past it, but the creativity with the 7 sins is very neat and gives this movie a lot of character. I think the ending is a really cool way to go about the final 2 kills, and definitely weren’t what I was expecting to go down. Overall I think this movie is around the range of 8.4-8.7/10 I really like this movie, but something in my mind which I can’t even say what it is just tells me “oh yeah this is 9-10 material” or it says “this is very good, but not quite right for me.” I think this movie falls into the second category where I can tell it is an extremely good movie, but for me it just doesn’t hit as hard as it might for some others. I want to give it up to a 8.7 though because that shows how close it is to a 9 and how badly I want it to be a 9. It’s kinda like Avatar for me. In terms of a film itself, most people would say it’s a 8/10 at best. But for some reason I just get a really good feeling about the movie and it’s simply my favorite movie of all time. Just because this movie falls under a 9 for me is no disrespect to it. It is still a fantastic movie with a creative aspect, but it just isn’t a movie that fits my category of high tier and something I would watch for the rest of my life. 8.7/10
