Weapons
Weapons was definitely not quite what I expected. Going into it I had no clue what it was except that kids go missing and that’s it. I found the theme of the movie to be really cool. I loved how it went throughout the story in multiple perspectives which helped us dive deeper into the story. I also like how it wasn’t afraid to trace back in the story to get the full picture. I definitely was a little meh on the ending. I thought the build up was great, all for just a witch to be doing all the weird things. Plus, she wasn’t even all that powerful, she just had a magical tree thingy. One thing I heavily appreciate is the scare factor of this movie. Usually it’s pretty easy to tell when something is about to be scary, but in this it becomes harder to tell because they stretch out the silent and dark parts, and keep you waiting to get the scare. Lastly, my final favorite part would be the witches death. The kids splitting her face apart was so cool. Being a fan of Terrifier, I find those cool kills so interesting and that did a lot for me. Overall definitely an enjoyable watch, not something I’d go crazy for, but worth the watch. 8/10
