80/100 probably going to attempt to watch all Pixar films, and this was the first one I'mma start with since I just watched Toy Story not that long ago. I don't actually know if I've ever watched this because if I did I do not remember anything at all so I must have been extremely young. Flik is a pretty great dude and I liked his speech near the end. the circus members were also great supporting characters and brought their own comedy, definitely reminding me of the Toy Story gang (hamm, potato, slinky, rex). old Pixar just has so many enjoyable watches and this one is very much proof. awesome!

80/100 it feels really good when you rewatch a film, and despite knowing fully well that you've watched it literally recall nothing so it feels like a brand new and great watch. I wish frozone was in the film a bit more because he's a pretty epic and funny character, which is most likely because of his voice actor. the fight scenes are quite epic and the characters with their powers are also cool. syndrome is a diabolical villain and one of the most malicious in animation. the designs aren't great because it's FAIRLY early cgi so it's understandable but when Toy Story 2 came out before this and I absolutely love the visuals in that it seems a bit underwhelming. the first 30 minutes of the film are fairly depressing for a childrens film as well, with mr and mrs incredible having a marriage crisis and mr incredible's depressing life. pretty epic honestly.

90/100 such a visually impressing film. this may be an extremely controversial take but this is genuinely the best Speilberg I have seen and recall, which is bold when his filmography consists of things like Jaws ET and Jurassic Park which everyone considers all time classics. I loved all the references to different media, with Iron Giant, Halo, Chucky, The Shining and many more being added in the film which makes the Oasis feel more extraordinary. the racing scene near the start was extremely engaging and action packed which really set the stage for the rest of the film. the CGI and visuals are phenomenal and this film just looks really great. I've seen this before but about 6 years ago so I literally only remembered Chucky's cameo - this felt like a complete new watch despite being a rewatch and it was impressing and exciting. also has one of my favourite actors Simon Pegg which makes me enjoy the film even more despite his fairly minimal screentime. what a fantastic film and an extremely fun and enjoyable experience. Godzilla vs The Iron Giant is something that no one ever knew they needed to see but now they do.

85/100 wes anderson films look extremely good. im not exactly sure what his obsession with symmetry is about and it's honestly seeming a bit unhealthy but it looks good so he can honestly crack on with it. this film was really entertaining and all of the dogs were interesting with wholesome moments throughout. my favourite of the three films Ive seen directed by him easily and was just a super enjoyable film. **"I'm not a violent dog. I don't know why I bite"**
