For me, art is the experience of what you've felt inside
Possibly one of the most enthralling movies I have ever seen, words are not enough to express how much I loved this. If I could, I would frame this movie
Abbas Kiarostami did such a wonderful job weaving fact and fiction together ,at some points of the film it felt quite hard to convince myself that this is a true story. I would also like to add how he has examined class and identity so impeccably
At the end of they day, we all are "Sabzian's" at heart.Pretending to be a director was a form of escapism for him and I could say the same about me with cinema. Even though he creates a falsehood of him being a director, you can't help but look at him with empathy. I think this film reinforced my belief that film truly holds so much power over us.
The last scene of him meeting his idol was so moving that you can't help but admire Abbas Kiarostami's genius. This might just be one of my favourite scenes in cinema.
I sincerely think everything about this movie is perfect in terms of its music, shots,"characters"
I wish I could write my review as eloquently as sabzian voiced out his thoughts throughout the whole movie.
A man so well versed in cinema truly did deserve a chance to be a screenwriter at most.
All in all, this genuinely was such a masterpiece of a film that I think everyone needs to experience atleast once in their life. My admiration for it grows each passing second. It was as real as it could get
