Ritual
Ritual is a genuinely great film. The cinematography is stunning, the makeup is incredibly well done, and the characters are engaging and memorable. What stands out the most is its unique atmosphere and the way it blends symbolism with human emotion.
That said, I feel like I didn't watch it at the right time. Because of that, some of its themes and emotional impact didn't resonate with me as strongly as they probably would have otherwise. Even so, I can clearly appreciate the quality of the filmmaking and everything the movie achieves. It's definitely a film I'd like to revisit in the future, as I feel I might connect with it much more on a second watch.
