Monkey Man

I have no words…But here are a lot of them. Dev Patel is a true gem in Hollywood right now. For him to not only star in it but for him to have written and directed and produced! We need to see more stories like this coming out with a theatrical release. It doesn’t just capture representation for one marginalized group. It doesn’t just represent one corrupt system. It’s a reflection of everything. But nevertheless it’s showing representation for a group that we rarely see in the mainstream media and especially never like this, never with this much life and soul. What a man you are Dev Patel!!! I’m on my hands and knees. This was incredible in all aspects. There were multiple times where I was just amazed by the shots and how it contributed to the story telling. You can definitely feel and see how much work and time they put into this. Every shot served a purpose. And that’s the art of filmmaking. Dev Patel award season must be yours.
