Wow. Definitely my favourite Todd Solondz film so far. An amazing commentary on how reality can get twisted and called fiction because the truth is ugly and grotesque in the ‘fiction’ story. As well as how something thats meant to be a true telling of someone’s story can be filtered and changed because the truth is too uncomfortable and not entertaining enough, not marketable enough for the viewer to the point it becomes fiction in the ‘non-fiction’ part of the film. I loved the very raw and real script and story as well as Scooby and Vi, i think they’re great characters. My only critique is that Vi’s story could have been a little longer, i was very interested in her part of the film.

i LOVED this, i didn’t realise it was a sort of follow up to welcome to the dollhouse which was a really pleasant surprise. It was funny, weird and amazing and i was actually interested in each story and character. plus, the ending was crazy, my jaw dropped.

this has so much potential, the story’s great and the cast is too but its boring, repetitive and the pacing is not great which really ruins what could have been an amazing film.
