The premise for this film was very unique and I give it the prompts for that. The performances by both Rachel McAdams and Dylan O’Brien elevated this film more than I thought it would. Linda’s survivor audition near the beginning of the film was a great element because as the film progresses, we see her use the skills that the crew made fun of in the original to eventually outsmart them all and set up her future fame. Some moments in the film felt kind of slow for me, but that is what the film does great because these moments show the slow deterioration of both mental and physical health. Overall, it was a pretty decent film and it is worth checking out if you are looking for something new.

Dead pan humor has always been funny to me and Liam Neeson’s portrayal of Frank Drebin Jr, though not as well comedically timed, was hilarious. Leslie Nielsen has hard shoes to fill in a comedic sense but the whole cast did their best to fill them. There were some hilarious scenes in the film such as how they handled the OJ situation, Neeson’s interrogations, and almist all the scenes where Pamela and Liam were together. I do believe there are some elements in deadpan humor such as the original Naked Gun and Airplane!, that were missing. I believe some of the action was over the top and took away from what these films need but overall, I had a fun time watching this and would recommend to anyone who is a fan of this type of comedy.
