not liking this movie is a crazy way to say you’re allergic to fun and joy and love.
THIS is my snow white!!! THIS is what i’m talkin about!! THIS is how a fairytale remake is done!!! it keeps the integrity of the original while adding something new. it’s whimsical, silly, exciting, charming! gotta rewatch this every once in a while to remind myself everythings gonna be okay 😌
the casting in this is SO perfect. lily collins was born for this role - she’s everything snow white should be and those eyebrows are majestic. julia roberts is so hilarious as the evil queen. even armie hammer (jumpscare) is so cute as the dumb prince. the seven dwarves steal the show - they each have such distinct personalities and their love for snow is so endearing.
also the costume department went OFF. everything is stunning. especially that first dress with the yellow cloak. omg so good!!!! i can’t even begin to tell you how badly i wanted her fighting outfit… and still do. and i would be lying if i said i didn’t try to use strawberries as lipstick after this.
the whole movie is just so wonderful and knows exactly what it’s doing. it’s so so funny (“do you wanna talk about my dress or what you did to the village?”) and the new things added to the story are done so well. 2025 snow white wishes it could be this girl 😍 I BELIEVE I BELIEVE I BELIEVE I BELIEVE– 💃🏻
