Sorry Triangle of Sadness, Aftersun is now my favorite movie of 2022! (I’m coming for you Banshees).
Honestly, one of the best debuts I’ve ever seen. This dreamlike picture captures love, comfort, and how memories float in our minds like no other movie.
The hidden and always present anxiety adds another layer to how much our memories work, and with a sense of alertness, and fear, we feel that time has passed.
Such an emotional trip. Such a beautiful way to capture a moment.
