Bay Area AF. This movie looks like it was such a joy to make. Some of the characterization falls apart and the style of looney tunes humor didn’t quite do it for me, but I appreciate the vivid creativity and the on-point class analysis that we can expect from Boots.

Still holds up about the same as the first time I saw it. Hot take, for me this is in the bottom half of Yorgos’s filmography, maybe even my least favorite. But Emma Stone still rocks in this performance crazy hard, and the Caligari-style aesthetic is fun.
