The Substance

In the first half I convinced myself that this would be any typical movie about a person wanting to achieve their dreams through any means necessary even if that means sacrificing your humanity and purity in the process. That the movie would ended with the main character (Elizabeth) losing herself to a hideous monster in wakes of perfection, and she would be cursed to be a hideous monster for the rest of her life. But even though I was right about almost everything I said previously, this movie left me surprised and bewildered by what was presented in front of me. This movie combines other movies  the thing, perfect blue (better than black swan idc), etc into one gory and grotesque masterpiece.
