GoodFellas

Wow this movie was fantastic. The whole film was really intense. You never knew what would happened or who would die next. The whole film perfectly captures the vibe of mid 20th century New york with the italian mafia running everything. I found it really interesting how the mob controlled everything including the police. I found the ending to be unexpected but very good as Henry rats out on eveyone and enters the witness protection program. This movie was very similar to Casino and even had some of the same actors like Robert de Niro and Joe pesci who both gave amazing performances again. So did Ray Liotta who played the main character, Henry Hill. Henry’s whole story of joining the mafia as a kid and rising the ranks to become a respected member, and eventually his downfall was such a great story. Overall this film was very solid and is one of scorceses best.
