Superman

Coming back to actually do a written review on this literally perfect film! I saw this 3 times in theaters bc it’s just that good. “I’m not messing around I’m doing important stuff” Although I love a ton of different movies and superhero ones especially, marvel has always been more favorable to me. I’ve seen every marvel movie and I can almost 100% confidently say I’ve seen most of dc movies as well (live action ofc). I grew up with both of them but marvel was always better. I saw the dark knight, cat-woman, green lantern… but then Zach came in. Did I watch all of his? yes. Did I think they were good at the time? Also yes. And ofc still my favorites were never his, they were suicide squad, Wonder Woman, Shazam, etc! But even though I thought all of these were amazing, way better than the Superman and Batman films Zach had done, NOTHING could have prepared me for what James Gunn did with this one. “What the hey, dude?” I was always excited before, ofc, I mean we hadn’t had a Superman film in almost 10 years (not to mention krypto was gonna be in it) ! Little did I know I would go into what would be one of my favorite movies, one of the best superhero movies ever made, my new hyper fixation, and come out feeling fulfilled and genuinely hopeful. I actually felt like a kid again and it felt like an actual comic book right off the pages. And as you know I ended up seeing it two more times because it just brought so much joy and brightness back. Zach Snyder dragged his ass so James Gunn could literally soar in the air. James had perfect casting, editing, dialogue, plot, soundtrack, all the little touches, everything was just so perfectly put together it’s insane. I could talk about this movie for hours and still not say everything I have to say! Although I’ll miss Margot Robbie as Harley I cannot wait to see what he does next with the DCU. “That haircut should be against your vows!” Yes I still have more to say, David Corenswet. That’s it, he is so perfect for this role and genuinely the best one out of what? 12? Henry was always great unfortunately Zach took his potential as Superman away. David is literally white boy of the century and I will stand on that, that one photoshoot GOT me. The whole rest of the cast is perfect look by look especially Rachel but I just had to point out what a perfect Superman he is. If you still haven’t seen this film I EXTREMELY recommend and I will continue to for the rest of my life! Punkrocker #supershit
