Do the Right Thing
I’m really bias but Brooklyn will always be the superior borough, no other borough gives me the same feeling. Anyway, beautiful from start to finish and it’s so familiar! From the nicknames (I have a cousin they call star trek….)to the types of conversation and the men on the side of the block ugh I love it so much. Im never surprised by racists being in denial but I’m always confused regardless i’m not sure why or how Sal & them couldn’t see how blatantly RACIST they were. Even though I know black history, across the diaspora at that, I can never fully wrap my head around racism and I don’t think I have to understand bullshit like that. I know it’s there and that’s enough I think…. Then despite the fact that they’re selling to black people and living off their dollars, they never had true appreciation for the community they found their livelihood in. Also the “they’re black but not really black cuz I like how they sing and act for my entertainment” thing is so tiring and the fact that it still happens today is still tiring. I’m not racist I have black friends I love LeBron!
But yea big Brooklyn!!!!
