Almost Famous
*Hold me closer tiny dancer
Count the headlights on the highway
Lay me down in sheets of linen
You had a busy day today*
The first film I watched (rewatched) in 2026, it’s still incredibly easy to watch: the 70s atmosphere is portrayed positively, with touches of melancholy, and you can really feel the spirit of rock ’n’ roll taking its final breaths. Unlike many other films, there’s no pomp here, only warmth and love for music. I think you can rewatch this movie many times without ever getting bored: the characters feel alive, you can almost read their thoughts, understand what they’re thinking and feeling, and the ending is wonderful. With every film like this that I watch, I always wish the story would last longer, that we could see more moments with the characters and more of their everyday lives, so we could sink even deeper into their world.
