i love films so much, and i love this one deeply. it must've been so cathartic for wells to be able to memorialize that specific threshold in her life: the space between living and losing, love and loneliness — the aftersun itself. even for a rewatch, this still holds that emotional truth and tenderness. and that ending... it's just exceptionally made
