Ring

Finally watched this I’ve been genuinely scared of watching this for a long time. The reason for that is, that I remember seeing pieces of the movie when I was like 8 and that shit SCARRED me so hard. I couldn’t sleep for days and was afraid to be alone in any room. Well today I pulled myself together to watch it, since I’m currently on a mid night horror movie watch streak. Safe to say I loved it to pieces. The concept is probably the best and most iconic concept in horror movie history, „Sadako“ is an icon and creepy as fuck and this is just a damn good movie overall. This is thanks to the actors great performances, the great setpieces, soundtrack and just everything you could think of is done great in this movie. But the real question is, how scary was it? Well the answer is a bit confusing. First of I have to say that it’s a bit unfair since the last horror movie I’ve watched is „Kairo“ or „Pulse“ and that was maybe the most horrifying watching experience I’ve ever had, so this had to be really really REALLY scary to stand out. Well it definitely did have some scary moments that made me hug a pillow but nothing horribly scary that made my skin really crawl. But what I’ve noticed now is that the horror stays with me after the movie. I’m a person that normally immediately is back to normal mode once a movie finishes but here I am still anxious, even like an hour after the end. Overall this is a great horror movie and also just movie in general, with multiple scenes that really stand out to me and a weird choice for an end credits song, that still is kind of fire tho.
