The best Time traveling ever was
If you watch a movie or show where time traveling is a major plot device you are very likely to find some minor mistake at some point. Not here. I’ve watched this two times and I’m shocked I’m saying this, but the time traveling in this show is actually without a whole in it’s logic. It’s perfect.
For the story itself I have to say that it’s also genius. It takes it’s sweet time to get going, but when it gets going and everything finally clicks it goes way harder then it needs to go. But it’s a two sided blade. While the long build up makes everything after it way much more enjoyable and way better, it is hard to get through.
After the 12th episode you have just an absolute masterclass of story and character telling, with Achievement Point debatably being a top 5 TV show episode of all time.
The characters, while coming of as cringey in the beginning all go through their respective arcs and developments and end up as great characters in the series. This obviously goes most for Okabe and Kurisu who are one of the best Protagonist/Deutergonist Duos put to screen.
All in all, you should definitely go watch this, even if the first ten or so episodes are very slow and expository it all pays of later in the show
