The Shining

Every single time you think you know what’s going on, Kubrick pulls the rug out from under you. Such a WILD two and a half hours. A lot of people have a lot of theories of what this movie is “about.” I’m not sure it’s about anything, but it did make me think about work a lot. Jack changed jobs, struggled to do his new job, and wouldn’t go to safety because he had yet another job to do. (He signed a contract!) It’s easy to get lost in your work. Put it down, and spend time investing in the people you love. **Stanley Kubrick Ranked**
