having people tell me this movie influenced The Substance set up an expectation for me of this movie and I do see the similarities for sure but it is very different. a woman consumed by vanity/society’s pressure on women to stay hot and youthful, and the fear of being replaced by the next attractive young woman. you never feel sorry for Lilico like you do for Demi Moore’s character in the substance. She is a terrible person from start to finish and only gets worse and worse throughout the movie. From sexually assaulting her assistant, then cucking her assistant right in front of her and sorta stealing her man, to then having them throw acid on the young woman’s face that was going to marry her ex(?)….just all around a ugly human being on the inside. i neeeeeeed her apartment though, aesthetically beautiful movie. I don’t know how I feel about the ending.

birthday watch ❤️ watching this opening week in theaters back in 2021 was peak, nothing will be like that theater crowd cheering. *Spider***men** having all 3 spiderman characters in it has me emotional, and seeing all 5 villains come back was a roller coaster for my emotions. Having Garfield’s spiderman redeem himself saving MJ had me cry then and even now. I’m glad I rewatched this before seeing the new one come out this month, a lot of things I forgot about that happened in this movie because I was so overwhelmed with everything happening with both new and old characters. best spiderman movie ever? hard to beat it.

better than I was expecting, Love me some Patricia Arquette but man do you hate her in this didn’t realize going to prison would make you a samurai but i dig it
