As someone who has watched terrifier and the substance, this is by far the most disturbing and disgusting movie of them all. I heard people laughing at nikkis behavior at the cinema. How can be people giggling at ts? Even more, how can people have ANY kind of sympathy towards bear? He’s like the best example of what women mean when they say they prefer to be stuck in the woods with a bear instead of a man (btw really ironic name choice). Bear, even knowing that nikki “was troubled” (and possibly knowing that it was not her and that it was against her will too) CHOSE to take advantage of her. Having that in mind, its really interesting how everything that you perceive about the plot of the movie its about the power of choice. Bear chose that wish. When he figured out that it was probably a bad idea and was affecting negatively >him< (not nikki) he chose to alter, not cancel, **alter** his wish to his liking. When that didnt work, then he tried to cancel it. Everything just to hold the power of choice over nikkis life, the unconsensual power. Speaking of consent, he knew damn well that she didn’t want it. Plus, everyone around him was actively pointing it out and showing how it’s problematic. He knows what he was doing and thats why it was such a coward and selfish move for him to kill himself. He deserves worse. Way worse

A representação mais crua do feminismo que eu já vi em mídia, te amo Najmia!

The first time I watched this movie I was 9 and I didn’t get it at the time. I get it now. I would say this is the best film I’ve seen in my life, but I would have been lying because theres so much more of it! Theres so many great movies, shows, musics, novels, languages, hobbies, books, experiences that I would have loved and related to, but I haven’t… because there’s so much more I haven’t done in life and I feel like theres so much to do! To explore, to know, to learn! And this is what Soul is about: to appreciate and be gratefulThis is the kind of movie that obligates you to make a extensive review bcs of how magnificent it is “How are you going to spend your life?” “I’m not sure. But I do know I’m going to live every minute of it.” I’ve never felt more alive. I also strongly believe that if Joe hadn’t met 22 he would have become one of those lost souls, obsessed with the glorified idea that he had about his career, but never really moving it forwards. I truly adore jazz, how spontaneous it is and how alive it feels, it was really the perfect fit for the film. Then 22 showed up and taught him how to appreciate the littlelest things in life. Unfortunately, at the start Joe was pretty ignorant and too self absorbed to actually understand, but I’m glad he did at the end. And 22, you have my whole heart. For the first time I am genuinely inspired by a fictional character. Btw I wept through the entire movie. Oh and those disney + adds pmo so bad, I can be crying myself out and they show up. Worst timing ever Sorry if this is messy just putting my thoughts out. And the font is messed up bcs I have been writing this on my notes app
