Amélie

This film is a love letter to those who have ever felt like the odd one out. It can be scary to put yourself out there. Even when we have all the love in the world to give to people, our fear of engagement can keep us from participating in life. This is Amalie. We get to take a journey of self discovery alongside her as she begins to evaluate whether or not she can continue living a life as a do-gooder from the shadows. I found just as much joy as she did delivering these secret blessings, (or little curses for the cruel grocer, lol), but she happens upon a kindred spirit who begins to make her question if she can keep up her reclusive lifestyle. This film hit max on all levels. The stylization of the look of the film, the score, the quirky editing to match the quickness of the content, it all melded together beautifully. 10/10!
