WALL·E

I haven’t seen this since i was like 8 my only critique is some of it feels kind of on-the-nose, but considering its from 2008 and it still somewhat lands i maintain the 5 star rating. I also consider that the social commentary was probably made to be more milquetoast in the interest of keeping this an inoffensive children-focused family movie. Also I never realised as a kid how visually stunning this movie looks, the fake camera and focus effecting are deployed perfectly, this looks on par with recent much-lauded animated movies like toy story 4 despite releasing in 2008 it truly makes no sense how they did that.
