Sinners

This movie already had me because of Michael B. Jordan, but then you bring in a whole storyline built around music without making it a musical? Bruh, that’s what really hooked me. The music feels like it belongs to these people it’s their history, their family, their way of expressing themselves. That scene bringing the past, present and future together through music was beautiful. It makes you think about how a sound can live on way beyond the people who created it. I was already invested in everybody and the world they were building before the horror even kicked in. Then everything went left 😭 Ryan Coogler went crazy with this one.
