Stalker
Tarkovsky has that way of making you feel everything and nothing at the same time.
I felt so much peace and comfort in the fear and desires of this film a feeling I haven’t felt since Tarkovsky’s last film I watched, Mirror.
What is it to be human? It’s to make mistake after mistake and learn from them, to grant other happiness when you don’t feel it, to give people a slight chance of hope even if yours is gone. To be Human is to help others, even when they are misguided and “tread off the right path”, even when they want to take everything that keeps you going and gives you happiness you forgive them.
Stalker is truly the definition of Masterpiece. What does Stalker mean? It’s whatever you feel. That is Tarkovsky, whatever feeling you have during his films, whatever hits you in your gut, whatever makes you think about yourself, that is what it means. There’s no wrong no right it’s just you and the film.
