Sinners

So sad the movie ended, means I can’t watch more Slim scenes. Probably Michael b Jordan’s best movie. He plays 2 different characters distinctly and rly well, gave both of them personality. Movie has effective social commentaries of music, racism, religion, desire, dreams, and weaves them all together. Really like the way music and spirituality are intertwined are connected. Also adds a supernatural element unexpectedly, more than likely a metaphor, that doesn’t take away from other parts. The music scenes are out of this world incredible, both the multi generation blues scene inside the house, and the folk chant outside, especially when contrasting the two.  Go watch this musically magical Mississippi movie.
