Chiron was honestly given the worse startup, from a poor black neighbourhood, he’s already being labelled as queer which in the black community usually gets u isolated and he had no real father figure or even parental figure since his dad was gone and his mother was a crackhead. Luckily he had Juan but i wish he didn’t have to die, but i think it was necessary to show the harsh nature of drug lifestyle. If he was still around i think Chiron would’ve never went into selling drugs like him and found himself quicker. I’m glad even with Juan gone Theresa was a real mom to Chiron even tho he didn’t show it well ik he appreciated it. Honestly king von(Terrell), he deserved that chair. He was such an insecure little bitch he defo had some of his own issues going on, defo some insecurities. As for the mom i’m glad she got some help but after all that years of trauma you gave your child it’s too late to undo it all Chiron is better than me for visiting and forgetting. Third act honestly the best. Trevante Rhodes is so so sexy and he can act. The stuttering on the phone call and the gulping to keep his tears in omdssss, i was getting emotional. Through all that i’m glad that it’s a happy ending with kev and chiron finally getting together the suit eachother so well. It’s like they were both lonely without each other, and Kev can help Chiron let go of this act/ front that he’s putting on to sell drugs so he doesn’t end up like Juan 🙏🙏.
