From the first shot of this film I just knew: yeah this one’s got the sauce. The lighting, the shot placement and framing of the actors, the mirrors, the set dressing. Every element was beautiful to look at and kept drawing my eyes tok the corner of the screen to look for more clues as to the story of Joe and Angela before that knock. The acting was absolutely flawless from every single character. With that extra flare of academy worthy acting going to Norton and Wilde. I welled up during hawks story and was able to hear Angelas thoughts at all time of the movie. Rogen and Cruz excel as well. I truly loved each character and cared about what happened to them both before and after the cameras were rolling. The humor was also spot on each time. Never a missed joke, never an unfunny delivery. See this movie 1000%

I will say this is the most that the Gunn has ever misfired but it was like a jam that took a few tries to get lose and it was back to firing A+. I love Milly Alcock’s Kara she captures woman of tomorrow perfectly. I’m very excited to see where her character develops esp in Man of Tomorrow. The practical effects all looked incredible which is why I wish they relied more on them than the sometimes questionable CGI. Also loved the settings being announced in the style they were, giving way to an awesome reveal nearing the finale. As villains go definitely a weaker one as main antagonists go. I would be shocked if most people remember his name within a few days of seeing the movie if not sooner. very generic “look at me I’m evil” type vibe. Very easy to hate but very easy to forget too. Lobo = cinema. Give Momoa his own movie.
