Poor Things
Seeing the film and the novel as very much two separate pieces of work, like a birds making nests from the same bundle of sticks
It’s gettin’ 4.5 Stars for many reasons and one of them is for the erasure of G-town, Odessa and of Bella/Victoria’s post-Godwin life in her clinic and stuff but after a Q&A when seeing the film and having my query of whether it’s have been good to have been shown, I agree with the answer that her life at that point and after the revelation of her life in her accounts from her letter is too important and complex to be condensed in a ten minute space of the film just to have it
But aye was decent
