Ms. Marvel
MCU #37 of 51
I like the style, definitely fits the character. The change in her powers was a good idea imo. We’ve seen stretchy before, I enjoy these light powers, very visually interesting.
Really good family dynamic, feels like an actual family. They’re all their own individual characters and clearly care about each other. All of Kamala’s friends are well written characters too. The historical parts are perfectly done too, teaches some people who don’t know what the partition was, and those who knew, get to have quite an emotional time with it.
The finale was really interesting, get to see her fully adapted to her powers and also no usual big CGI superhero battle. It’s a good emotional time, and all the characters get to shine and have there moment.
One let would be the group of “villains”, they’re just very generic and I genuinely forgot about them until this rewatch. Glad the DODC became the actual villains in the finale. Because as we all know, the US government are always the villain. Another moment would be the extremely cringe “fight” at the train station between Kamala and Red Dagger.
