Jackie
I have no words truly. A biopic that revolves around grief, and guilt of loss whilst also having to compose yourself to hide the cracks and holes of your emotions because of the expectations and influence you hold because u are a mother to both the nation and your children. Natalie Portman captivates this role so, so well with elegance. the cinematography and score was everything, always being used to capture the raw feelings of what jackie felt when describing the assassination and reminiscing the past. This was a film I’ve been wanting to watch, and i loved it.
I know it’s almost been a decade since its release, but can we still give Natalie an Oscar?
