I decided to go to see this alone in a near empty Dolby theatre late at night and let me tell you that was a mistake. This is a movie you have to watch in a big theatre, the sound design is incredible especially when watched with a big sound system and immerses you into the nightmare that is this movie. Sound in horror is something that really gets under my skin so this was a personal hell for me. The last 20ish minutes of the film had my heart exploding out of my chest and I felt like I was in a nightmare I couldn’t wake up from, it was not until the credits rolled that I took the biggest sigh of relief that the nightmare was finally over. The plot had a fair amount of holes/conveniences but still was a terrifying ride start to finish, this film truly shook me to my core.
