Mickey 17
Mickey 17 was a fun SciFi trip, the concept of this 3D printed human being used as fodder for the advancement of the human race while at the same time being treated as inferior to humanity. It carried a good deal of humor delivered perfectly by Robert Pattison, with an enjoyable side set of a characters and a easy to hate bad guy duo (that too closely resembled people of power in our reality) the movie was just a lot of fun. You felt the pain of the "original" Mickey, how easily he was discarded, how little heed anyone paid to his needs and his suffering. You also felt anger at his character for being so pathetic, he was a rug to be walked on, and we as the audience craved his revolution. Then came the bad boy Mickey, seemingly the entirety of the rage the original lacked, the interplay between the two was great. The larval alien race of the Ivey planet was easy to cheer for, and had me wanting a little alien worm buddy. The story itself wasn't anything ground breaking and didn't contain any significant moments that usually come with a Boon Joon Ho film but it was well made nonetheless, an easy watch that always kept you engaged and entertained.
