Predestination

Ethan Hawke is John, a time travelling agent who is chasing a bomber. The Fizzler bomber kills civilians on an increasingly large scale, John's main objective is to stop the largest attack they have on record. He fails, and has his face reconstructed. He is then sent on his final mission, which is seemingly to recruit a new agent Jane (John). The new John breaks into a back story about his (previously her) life, left at an orphanage, isolated throughout life, falls in love with a man who impregnates her and leaves, has the baby, forced sex change due to medical complications. So essentially the time travelling John, is also this John who was once Jane. John fucked Jane who gave birth to Jane, who was then stolen by John and dropped off at the orphanage and then later recruited by John to be John. And on top of all that, John was also the fizzle bomber, but he was bombing to prevent more significant tragedies from occurring. Orborus.
