Together
The only thing I knew coming into the movie was that it was going to be a bit disturbing due to its body horror sub classification, and it delivered on that end in spades. What I didn't expect to find was a story encompassing some major pain points in long term relationships, intimacy, reliance, resentment all told pretty plainly, but effectively.
Together does a good job of presenting these moments where you have a visceral reaction to the events on screen (the parents, the blood, the shower, the office, the school), a lot of it has to do with the content shown but how it's shown is a huge boon as well.
The story itself left a bit to be desired as it didn't fully explore the horror in my mind, the root cause, how many were/are afflicted? Even with a few questions unanswered I had a great time with the movie and thoroughly enjoyed the acting performances from Dave Franco and Alison Brie, I'd definitely recommend watching together, ideally with your significant other.
