nothing I'll remember longterm but genuinely a sweet and fun watch well worth it's time. The jamming sessions were so entertaining, I need more of that!

why does it take 100 mins for this film to get going? (this was also my 3rd attempt to watch this and now I did)

I never fully knew who I was rooting for as the film gradually reveals that something is very wrong beneath the surface of the couple's past. Well acted throughout, with an interesting scenario that raises some thought-provoking questions. There's an unnecessary subplot, but overall it's a solid watch.

Iwatched One Hour Photo because [Kane Parsons](https://boxd.it/1ErZr) said it inspired the [Backrooms](https://boxd.it/EY6W) movie. This is probably the film that he draws from the most visually and tonally. The cinematography and sound design especially seem to owe a lot to it. When you look at it, it is inherently very much in the language of [Backrooms](https://boxd.it/EY6W): a story focused on an individual who has fallen into an isolated place in life. And how he uses a specific technical function of that world to give himself a profound sense of purpose, engagement, and identity.
