Transformers One

THE transformers movie. I absolutely adored this film. A great heartfelt story told with absolutely stellar animation with a pant SOAKING final 30 minutes. No exaggeration. The voice acting was surprisingly great despite my initial worries at the casting announcements, every one delivers a great performance with Brian Tyree Henry definitely being the standout here. His performance as Megatron truly left an impact as you truly feel the shift from being Orion Pax's best friend to Optimus primes greatest enemy. As a longtime of the transformers franchise and IP I don't think I have ever seen such a unique take on the lore while also staying true to its source material. It was honestly a pleasant surprise to see different elements from the live action movies to the IDW comics which I didn't think would show up in the slightest at all. Don't even get me started on the action, holy moly it is great and honestly contains one of the most creative action sequences I've seen in an animated film. They did NOT need to cook this hard, yet they did. This movie was everything I wanted and more. It's a MUST watch not just for transformers fans but a must watch for anyone as it serves as a great introductory to transformers as a whole.
