Sonatine
A strange blend of jarring violence and absurd comedy with surreal, dreamlike cinematography and score. Sonatine captures a unique nihilistic tone that is hard to describe. One that I’m sure to revisit along with Kitano’s Fireworks. Will be watching Violent Cop ASAP.
