the town of Astoria, Oregon looks EXACTLY like that in 2024, truly no change. i love it so much.
as for the movie, i can attest the grumpiest man to ever live (my dad) giggles through the entire runtime. my brother and i watched it hundreds of times growing up. whimsical, corny, wholesome magic!!!!!!! all i could think about was how this movie is what the kids, at the summer camp i used to run, think they’re doing when they’re playing at the park lmao. kids yearn for adventure!!! i still yearn for adventure. long live childlike wonder ig 🤞
