Conclave
enough cannot be said about Lawrence’s preliminary speech about doubt and the sheer truth uttered about not just religious faith but all that comes with perseverance in anything. it acted as a perfect kind of confirmation as we know who ended up becoming Pope probably had doubted much more than anyone else. I see the figures as the likes Tremblay and Adeyemi as shades and colors of faith and the Catholic church as a whole and I appreciate the clear symbolism taken with this film to deliver a message to wide audiences. i’m overjoyed that i have a background in italian and catholicism and feel that i can appreciate this film for all it truly is.
