Marty Supreme
at the end of the day there wasn’t anything “supreme” about marty. he was a manipulative swindler that used any olive branch or piece of good faith that was given to him to his advantage and still wanted more. it’s a testament to timothee chalamets incredible performance that you still somehow still feel bad for marty failing to achieve his dreams. this film shows josh safdie has found his groove and only wants to keep getting bigger and crazier with his ideas while still keeping everything contained within a character study about shaky morality.
success is a double edged sword created only by a path you are willing to pave yourself despite every obstacle in the way
